St. LukeA?s Magic Valley is currently accepting applications for a Nursing Supervisor in our Medical Unit in Twin Falls, Idaho. As a Nursing Supervisor you will work closely with cardiologists and hospitalists in the provision of a very high standard of patient care. Flexible scheduling and shared clinical decision:making are just the beginning. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for managing staff, overseeing patient care and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Medical Unit: 26 private roomsECG Telemetry monitoringServices are provided for patientA?s age 18 yrs. (younger patients if deemed clinically appropriate) and older with the following categories of illnesses: Medical Unit, General Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastrointestinal, and Hospice.Medical Unit RNs have received Core Measure education/competencies and the following diagnoses designated for the Cardio:Pulmonary Unit may be placed on the Medical Unit based on staffing/census: Cardiology, Pulmonary, and Cerebrovascular. Staffing Ratios: Day shift: 3:5 patients per RN : Evening shift: 4:5 patients per RN : Night shift: 4:5 patients per RNGeneral Admission Criteria: Patients requiring ongoing assessments no more frequent than every two hours. Patients who are hemodynamically stable. Administration of vasoactive medication based on non:titratable orders. Required Criteria An AssociateA?s Degree in Nursing (ASN) Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is Preferred **3 years of relevant experienceComplete basic EKG validation within 1 year of hireACLS recommended Chemotherapy Certification optional Join a team where employee engagement is at an all:time high.
