St. LukeA?s Health System has an exciting opportunity for Physician Services Coders to join our team in Twin Falls, ID Coder (Physician Services Coding) The purpose of this position is to audit health records for appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes on individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing. The Coding Specialist collects appropriate, timely, and accurate health information about services provided including demographic data, appropriate length of stay, third:party payer and continued stay reviews, and other related data concerning patients. The Coding Specialist will collect data in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, standards, and policies, supporting the hospital mission of ensuring the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Required Criteria 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required2. Completion of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology coursework, OR Currently enrolled or completed a coding program required. Preferred Criteria1. Hospital or medical office coding experience2.
