St. LukeA?s Jerome is currently accepting applications for the Certified Surgical Tech position in Jerome, Idaho. The surgical tech functions as the surgical first assistant under the direct supervision of the operating surgeon during the operative procedure and provides comprehensive care during the perioperative phase. It is expected that all employees perform their duties in a professional manner; this expectation includes awareness of and high quality service to our customers, developing and maintaining job competence, ethical personal behavior, the development and maintenance of supportive and caring relationships with others at work and basic professional morality. Required Criteria Applicant must have graduated from a School of Surgical Technology with current national certification as a CST as ascribed to by NBSTSA* or ABHES* governing bodies or eligible to sit for the certification exam within the first 120 days of employment is required.*National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) *Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
